Mrs. Taire was born into the Daddy Elelede Williams family of Lafiaji Lagos some 68 years ago.
She is a retired senior executive public administrator who, having experienced essential government functions and processes in the Lagos State Civil Service before engaging the private sector in 1992, understands that government reform has no meaning unless it can create value for its key stakeholders – citizens, residents and the electorate. As a senior executive in the Lagos State civil service, she was engaged in the management and implementation of public programs and policies by the state governmental entities to serve the public interest.
Mrs. Taire began her public service career, post-graduation from the University of Ibadan, in the service of the then Western State. Later, she transferred to the Lagos State Ministry of Education where the Administration of Governor L. K. Jakande appointed her Permanent Secretary in 1979. Remarkably, she served in such capacity at the Ministries of Health, Agriculture & Cooperatives, Employment & Civil Service Matters (Establishment), Office of the Head of Service, as well as the Departments of the Civil Service and the Cabinet & Higher Education.
On November 1 1988 she was appointed Secretary to the Military Government and de-facto Head of State Civil Service, the first female substantive holder of the office, and she served there until 31 December 1991, when she retired from the Lagos State Civil Service.

In December 2002 Mrs. Taire was awarded the national honour of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR).
Mrs. Taire is currently a member of the Governing Council of Bowen University (Private University of the Nigerian Baptist Convention) and Chairman, Governing Council of Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Lagos State.
She currently serves as non-executive Director of some private companies, including Sovereign Trust Insurance Plc.
A keen football fan, she also likes Reading, Gardening, Swimming and social concerns.
Mrs. Taire was appointed Chairman of Prosoft Technologies Limited in October 2004.
